Description: Montana offers three options to obtain a Library Media endorsement.

Evaluation Process for Licensure

A Competency Review for eligible individuals is required.

Option one:

  • If the candidate holds a current license from the NBPTS in a licensable area in Montana, a license will be awarded.

Option two:

  • Graduated within the last five years from an accredited program

Option three:

  • The candidate has held a license within the last five years.

Reciprocity: Montana follows the Interstate Agreement with the 50 states and the District of Columbia in the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education & Certification (NASDEC).
