School Library Connection/American Reference Books Annual’s Best of Reference Award
School Library Connection (SLC) and American Reference Books Annual (ARBA) are proud to cosponsor the annual Best of Reference Award, which honors exemplary resources in the areas of children’s and young adult reference. SLC and ARBA share a reputation in the library community for providing high-quality, critical reviews that enable library professionals to select the best reference sources for their students’ research needs. Our panel of expert  judges, drawn from among SLC and ARBA’s trusted reviewers and editors, annually names a Best of Reference winner for K–12 students and librarians in each of the following areas:

• Best overall reference K-12
• Best resource for children (elementary grades)
• Best resource for youth (secondary grades)
• Best electronic reference resource (database or eBook)
• Best professional guide for school or youth librarians

Publishers interested in submitting titles for award consideration are encouraged to contact our reviews editor for more information.
